Make sure less secure apps are allowed
- Go to your gmail
- At the top right click your profile icon
- Then click manage your google account
- Go to security
- Scroll down until you see Less secure app access
- Turn it on
Search control panel at the bottom bar and click it
Change the view by in the top right to "Small icons"
Click Mail "(Microsoft Outlook 2013) (32-bit)"
Click E-mail Accounts
Click New
Click manual setup or additional server types
Click POP or IMAP
Enter your Full name and email address
Change Account Type to POP3 or IMAP depending on your google account
Type imap.gmail.com for Incoming mail server
Type smtp.gmail.com for Outgoing mail server
Enter your email address in User Name
Enter your email password
Click More Settings
Click Outgoing Server
Check the My outgoing server box
Make sure Use same settings as my incoming is selected
Click advanced
Enter the following info:
- Incoming server (IMAP): 993
- Use the following type of encrypted connection: SSL
- Outgoing server (SMTP): 465
- Use the following type of encrypted connection: SSL
Click ok
Then click next
After connecting remove any other account besides the one you just created
