iPhone to iPhone


Begin by following the steps in the Activate the new phone section. Once done, if you are already logged in to iCloud on your old phone and know your password or there is no account logged in proceed to the Back up data method. If you are logged in to iCloud and don't remember your password proceed to the Airdrop method.


Active the new phone

  1. Go to att.com/activations
  2. Scroll down to the "(2) Choose your service" section and press "Activate device" under AT&T Wireless
  3. Enter your work phone number and the Zip code 
    1. DFW - 75050
    2. HOU - 77099
    3. TPA - 33777
    4. BTR - 70815
  4. Press continue
  5. Then Yes
  6. Then Yes again
  7. If you are on the "Almost finished" you are done




Back up data

This will transfer call logs, contacts, text messages, and some photos. For all that it doesn't transfer go to the Airdrop method.


Backup Data on old phone

  1. Make a new account If there is no account logged in
    1. Go to settings and press "Apple Account"
    2. Press "Don't have an Apple Account?"
    3. Press Adult 18 or older
    4. Enter your first and last name and birthday and press continue
    5. Enter your work email
    6. Enter your work email address the press continue
    7. Set the password to Welcome033$
    8. "Phone Number" press Continue
    9. Press Agree and when prompted enter the PIN for the phone
    10. "You have not verified your account" press Cancel
    11. Go back to your iCloud account in settings
    12. Press "Verify Email Address" and press Send Code
    13. Open your work email and enter the code from the email
    14. Go back to settings then to your iCloud account then press iCloud
    15. Press iCloud Backup
    16. Make sure "Back Up This iPhone" is turned on
    17. Below that press Back Up Now
    18. Move to the Restore Data on new phone step
  2. If you're already logged in to iCloud
    1. Go to settings and click your apple account at the top
    2. Press iCloud
    3. Scroll down and press iCloud Backup
    4. Make sure "Back Up This iPhone" is turned on
    5. Below that press Back Up Now
    6. Proceed to the Start new phone setup section




Start new phone setup

  1. Swipe up at hello screen
  2. English
  3. United States
  4. On the appearance screen click "Continue at the bottom"
  5. Select "Set Up without Another Device"
  6. Connect to the Wifi
  7. Press Continue at the "Confirm Your Phone Number" screen
  8. It may ask you to Verify Your Identity by entering your regions zipcode then press continue
    1. DFW - 75050
    2. HOU - 77099
    3. TPA - 33777
    4. BTR - 70815
  9. Press next at the Activating your iPhone screen
    1. If you receive an error make sure you have completed the Activate the new phone section then press try again
  10. "Data & Privacy" press Continue
  11. If using the Backup data method
  12. "Transfer Your Apps & Data" press "From iCloud Backup"
  13. Log into your iCloud account
  14. If not press "Don't Transfer Anything"
  15. Press "Enroll this Phone"
  16. Continue through the set up of the device selecting your preferred settings



Airdrop

This will only work for Photos and contacts. It will not transfer text or call history.


Make sure airdrop is turned on to 

  1. Go to Settings -> General -> AirDrop
  2. Set it to Everyone for 10 Minutes


Send contacts

  1. Go to contacts
  2. Go to the Lists screen
  3. Long press the "All Contacts" then click "Export"
  4. Press "Done" at the top right
  5. Click airdrop
  6. Click the new phone from the list
  7. On the new phone click accept

Send photos

  1. Go to photos
  2. Select all the pictures you want to move over
  3. Press share then AirDrop
  4. Select the new phone from the list
  5. On the new phone press accept

Download switch to iOS on your android

Follow the instructions on screen and be sure to use wifi
